The Town of Boonville wanted a covered bridge to complement the Black River Canal Trail, Erwin Park and provide canal crossing for pedestrians and snowmobiles.

HOGAN ENGINEERING, PC was assigned the task to provide three dimensional model alternates in provide a final design to accommodate vehicle loading.

The Towne Truss design was constructed with local labor and timber.

The Bridge is now a focal point in Erwin Park.
